What does it mean to be in a attitude of prayer?

To me a attitude is the overlaying tone in which you are living in that can manifest it self into the physical realm. Not so much the present emotion though in most cases it does dictate it. Because you can go into something with the attitude of I don’t care and no matter what happens you still are indifferent. So the attitude can be more detrimental or beneficial then an emotions because it is the total mindset. Meaning that the attitude that you are carrying is like a filter that you put your reality through before you even think about it logically. So being that a attitude is a pre-filter before it even hits your already established biases.

With that being said the most logical thing one should first notice is that most of your praying should be in your head or non spoken. It should first start in a subconscious phase since that is were attitudes are mostly. Lets face it most of the time we don’t realize we have a attitude until some one points it out to us. So we should a have a pre-filter of prayer going before it even enters our conscience mind. Then once it enters are conscience mind we can then pray silently and then if it continues we then would see the final product of a verbal prayer. So by the time you pray verbally you have already bathed the words in prayer unconsciously and consciously and the spirit would then have had time to work within you to guide your words verbally as he prays with you spiritually. I do think in the total sense of it all you then would have accomplished a attitude of prayer. Once this has happened you then will be able to use prayer in new ways that you have never thought possible. Plus you will be more aligned with the Lord as to what to pray and to pray for. That way you can truly get what your heart desires.
